I love the Cramps, and I love this record, it’s hard for me to give an actual objective review of this because I can hear influencing so much music after the late 80’s that it’s absurd to even try. They made garage rock sound dangerous, they sound the way john waters films look, the way Herschell Gordon Lewis’ films gore and blood glows. truly able of evoking a gut reaction, their fantastic capability of a transmitting a manic pace within the parameters of standard rock and roll. Their genius use of a raw wet sound with the slaughtering percussion, and their proper use of mood, momentum and pace made this record banger and a must have, It’s always a joy to give it a spin.
